Luise Gioielli: from the artistic heart of Naples to the conquest of the goldsmithing world
The story of Luise Gioielli begins in the 30s of 1900, in a small shop in Via degli Orefici in Naples, a traditional neighborhood where the art and commerce of Neapolitan jewels was born in the Middle Ages. In the post-war period the Luise family developed its exceptional art for jewelry making, having the innovative vision of blending together the two most important goldsmithing arts of Naples: the art of working precious stones and the art of working the coral of Torre del Greco.
With this intuition, Franco Luise led the company to specialize in the rare technique of melting coral and precious stones in a single jewel, seldom used before then. The result is the expression of a refined and eccentric style and a high quality artisan manufacture, capable of giving each piece that uniqueness that only handmade can give.
This winning intuition allowed the Luise family to open up to the international market, and so, from that small shop in Via degli Orefici in the 1930s, today the brand is present in the major jewelry fairs in the world, such as Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Vicenza, New York and Miami.
In recent years, a new vision of Ugo and Marco, the sons of Mr. Franco, has given a positive impetus to the international recognition of the brand. The desire to bring back the charm of vintage jewelry has led the brothers to pay particular attention to this sector, offering a vast inventory of vintage jewelry from high manufacturing with the collaboration of renowned masters of the Italian goldsmithing art.
