Jewellery for autumn-winter 19/20: large shapes and echoes of the past
A woman who loves to play with accessories, to have fun and to stand out. She is the true star of the catwalks and the jewellery world, which this season is celebrating a return to the 1980s with precious shapes and overlays.
Such is the case with chains, a feminine-style symbol of strength and resistance which, in the upcoming months, we will see in a maxi version in the form of both chokers and bracelets. The effect is also evident in earrings with a long pendant shape or ultra-simple, minimal design.
Jewellery, like small wearable sculptures, featuring mirror and satin finishes, rigid and solid models with obvious ‘80s references revisited with a modern twist and with autumnal shades ranging from burnt tones to bright red and the thousand shades of dark colours typical of the season, including hoop earrings, rigid bracelets, minimal chokers and sculpture-rings.
The third trend of the season is the snake effect, which appears on “snakeskin-style” sweaters and on pendants over daring necklines or on innovative and original bracelets strictly designed to be worn on a jacket and in combination with bags and scarves.
