Among models and influencers to pay tribute to the Maharajas
The photo shoot to celebrate the 400 jewellery and precious items from the Al Thani collection, sold at Christie’s “Maharajas and Mughal Magnificence” auction in mid-June, was held in New York under the lens of famous photographer Claiborne Swanson Frank and featured 12 women.
An authentic "sale of the century" with hugely valuable pieces worn by contemporary influencers and models invited to wear the unique items of their choice to reflect their respective personalities.
As in the case of businesswoman Aerin Lauder, who chose to wear an important diamond and emerald necklace, and the splendid influencer, Maya Samuelsson who sported an ancient diamond, emerald and enamel headdress like a turban, an antique rigid bracelet with rubies and enamels and a gold ring set with a precious stone.
Lauren Santo Domingo chose a turban-style item in diamonds from Belle Époque with a plume made in 1907, a diamond ring and a rivière diamond necklace, while Marina Rust wore a piece with emeralds, diamonds and Tikka pearls matched with glass, diamond, ruby and enamel earrings.
A multitude of fascinating pearls for Amanda Hearst in Cartier, while Amanda Alegem chose a fantastic headdress with huge emeralds and Veronica Swanson Beard selected Belle Epoque diamonds.
